About the Project
Most of the elderly population suffer from difficulty in walking or moving around. The weakness and balance difficulty of the senior citizens may require them to walk with a device that ensure safety and efficiency. Therefore, it is fundamental to design a self-supporting device that enables the elderly or other people in need to walk and realize a high quality life.
One device that can help the aging people to walk safely and independently is the intelligent walker (iW). The device can understand and detect the body movements and can be activated easily and automatically. It includes an intelligent system and can be used without putting too much effort into moving it unlike the ordinary walker. The iW is designed in a way to provide stability, and to help the old people to use their legs for walking and strengthen their muscles. The intelligent walker is an advanced technology intended to keep the aging people safe and healthy.
